Debate, legal coursework, and internship experience — exploring how law shapes everyday life.

Scroll

I am interested in understanding how laws, policies, and structured arguments shape decisions and society.

Through debate, legal coursework, and internship experiences, I am developing skills in analysis, communication, and critical thinking while exploring the many ways law influences everyday life.

Building arguments, on the clock and under pressure

Competitive debate has been where I’ve sharpened how I research, structure an argument, and respond to counter-points in real time.

Each tournament is a chance to test how well an idea holds up against scrutiny — a skill that carries directly into legal thinking.

Columbia coursework & internship — sample photo

Columbia University and a NYC law firm

Coursework in criminal law at Columbia gave me a structured introduction to how legal reasoning actually works, beyond what shows up in a debate round.

An internship at a New York City law firm has let me see that reasoning applied to real cases and real clients.
